Muay Thai is a devastating striking art that blends techniques such as; kicks, knees, elbows, punches, and clinch work. Muay Thai (also known as Thai Boxing) is a fighting art that originated in Thailand over 1000 years ago. Often called the "Toughest ring sport in the world" it is known for its powerful techniques of punching (boxing), elbows, knees, and kicks. Traditionally, fighters all over the world seek Muay Thai training to improve their striking effectiveness, and give themselves the edge in the ring or the cage. CSA is proud to be affiliated with the World Famous Fairtex Muay Thai Camp and the Muay Thai International Association. The MTIA is recognized by the government of Thailand as one of the most outstanding Muay Thai systems in the world. The MTIA grading system was developed to teach Muay Thai systematically, coherently and safely. CSA Muay Thai classes teach our unique striking system created by Coach Kirian. This system was developed through years of competition and international teaching experience. It combines Western Boxing footwork and punching, with traditional Muay Thai kicks, knees, elbows, and clinch, with Dutch Style hand and leg combinations, which offers a perfect marriage of these three stand up disciplines.
At CSA, Muay Thai training is intense, exciting, fun and safe. CSA Muay Thai classes incorporate intense cardio and strength conditioning while learning precise Muay Thai striking and defensive techniques. You will learn to punch, kick, clinch, elbow and knee. Classes are a mix of conditioning training, jump rope, shadowboxing, bag work, combination mitt and pad work, offensive and defensive partner drills, and technique training. We offer classes for adults of all levels, men and women, recreational through professional, serious competitors and those who simply find Thai boxing to be an unbeatable training regimen.
